Hi, I’m Jamie-Lynn.

I have been practicing as a doula since 2022. I joined the Rebecca Rose Doula Services team in 2023, and I have attended over 50 births throughout my career (updated annually).

Supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period has become one of the most meaningful parts of my life. I feel incredibly honored every time a family invites me into such an intimate and transformative moment.

Certifications & Additional Training

I have completed the following certifications and continuing education in birth and postpartum support:

• Certified Birth & Postpartum Doula (2023)

• CPR & First Aid Certified

• Birth Photography Experience (Learn more at Jamielynncaptures on Instagram)

• Continuing education in pregnancy, birth, newborn care, and postpartum recovery

I believe strongly in continuing education and regularly pursue opportunities to deepen my knowledge so I can provide supportive, compassionate, and evidence-based care for families.

What Brought Me to Birth Work

My journey into birth work started in a very personal way.

When I had my first daughter, I felt completely blindsided and unprepared for birth. I went into the experience without the education, support, or understanding that I now know every family deserves. While becoming a mother was the most beautiful experience of my life, it also lit a fire in me.

I realized how important it is for women to feel informed, supported, and empowered going into birth.

That experience sparked my passion for birth work. I first stepped into the birth world through birth photography, capturing the powerful moments of labor and delivery for families. Being present for those births only deepened my calling, and becoming a doula felt like the natural next step.

From that point on, I knew supporting women and families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum was exactly where my heart belonged.

Why I Do This Work

I do this work because I believe no mother should feel alone, unprepared, or unheard during her birth experience.

Birth is powerful, emotional, and life-changing. My goal is to help families walk into that experience feeling informed, confident, and supported every step of the way.

Being welcomed into such a sacred moment in a family’s story is something I never take lightly. Every birth I attend is unique, and I feel deeply grateful to support families during one of the most transformative days of their lives.

What I Bring to Your Birth / Postpartum Journey

Families often describe my support style as calming, nurturing, and steady. When I enter a birth space, my goal is to bring a grounded and reassuring presence. I focus on helping the birthing person feel safe, supported, and confident while also guiding partners so they feel comfortable and involved in the process.

Some of the ways I support families include:

• Comfort techniques such as massage, hip squeezes, and labor positioning

• Emotional reassurance and continuous presence during labor

• Partner guidance and encouragement

• Evidence-based support and gentle reminders to help families stay informed and empowered

My goal is always to help you feel safe, confident, and deeply supported throughout your birth and postpartum journey.

A Little About Me

Outside of birth work, I love spending time with my family and embracing the slower pace of life on our little homestead. We raise rabbits and enjoy sharing that experience with our community and local families.

I live in Sheridan, California, and enjoy simple things like being outdoors, caring for animals, photography, and creating meaningful connections with the families I serve.

One Thing I Want Families to Know

If there’s one thing I want families to know about me, it’s that I show up without an agenda and without judgment. My role is not to push a certain type of birth, but to support your choices and your experience.

Whether your journey is calm, intense, joyful, or challenging, I am there to sit with you in both the hard and the beautiful moments. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and truly seen as you welcome your baby into the world.
