Hi, I’m Maddee,
I’m a birth and postpartum doula with Rebecca Rose Doula Services. I joined the RRDS team in 2025 and have had the honor of supporting families through both birth and the postpartum period. Every experience has deepened my passion for this work, and it is a privilege to walk alongside families during one of the most transformative seasons of their lives, providing compassionate, individualized support every step of the way.
Certifications & Additional Training
I have completed the following certifications and continuing education in birth and postpartum support:
• Certified Birth Doula
• Certified Postpartum Doula
• Infant CPR & First Aid Certified
I believe learning never stops. I am committed to continuing my education so I can provide families with current, evidence-based support while honoring that every family’s journey is unique.
What Brought Me to Birth Work
My journey into birth work began when I had the privilege of supporting my best friend through the birth of her first baby. Witnessing the strength, vulnerability, and transformation of birth completely changed my perspective. I saw firsthand the difference compassionate support can make, and I knew I wanted to help families experience that same sense of confidence and reassurance.
As I continued supporting families, I fell in love not only with birth but also with the postpartum period. I quickly realized that while welcoming a baby is beautiful, it can also be overwhelming, and having someone there to offer guidance, encouragement, and practical support can make all the difference.
Why I Do This Work
I believe every family deserves to feel informed, respected, and genuinely supported throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. My role is never to make decisions for you but to help you understand your options, trust your instincts, and feel confident in the choices that are right for your family.
Being invited into such an intimate and life-changing season is something I never take for granted. It is an incredible honor to witness the strength of growing families and to help create a space where they feel safe, heard, and cared for.
What I Bring to Your Birth / Postpartum Journey
Families often describe my support as calm, nurturing, encouraging, and steady. I strive to bring a peaceful presence into every room while also providing practical, hands-on support and reassurance when it’s needed most.
Whether we’re navigating labor together or settling into life with a newborn, I meet families where they are without judgment and with unwavering support.
Some of the ways I support families include:
• Continuous emotional support throughout labor and postpartum
• Comfort measures including labor positioning, movement, counter pressure, massage, and hands-on comfort techniques
• Partner guidance and encouragement so they feel confident and involved throughout the experience
• Evidence-based information to help families make informed decisions that align with their goals
• Newborn care, feeding support, and practical postpartum guidance as families adjust to life at home
My goal is for every family to feel safe, confident, informed, and deeply supported throughout their journey.
A Little About Me
Outside of birth work, you’ll usually find me spending time with family and friends, curled up with a good book, watching movies, or spoiling my dachshund, Vinnee. Before becoming a doula, I spent several years working as a nanny, caring primarily for infants and young children. That experience gave me a deep appreciation for the transition into parenthood and continues to shape the way I care for families today.
I’m also pursuing my master’s degree in psychology, which has strengthened my understanding of mental health, child development, and the emotional changes that accompany pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.
One Thing I Want Families to Know
If there’s one thing I want families to know about me, it’s that I will always meet you exactly where you are. There is no one “right” way to give birth, feed your baby, or navigate postpartum. My goal is never perfection. My goal is to help you feel supported, informed, and confident as you make the decisions that are best for you and your family.
You deserve compassionate care, evidence-based information, and someone who will celebrate your victories, support you through the hard moments, and remind you that you are never alone. It is truly an honor to walk alongside families during one of the most meaningful chapters of their lives.
