Personalized Postpartum Doula Care Designed Around Your Family

Whether you're welcoming your first baby, recovering from a cesarean birth, adjusting to life with multiples, or simply hoping to feel more supported during the fourth trimester, our postpartum doulas are here to help.

At Rebecca Rose Doula Services, we believe postpartum care should never be one-size-fits-all. Every family enters this season with different goals, different support systems, and different budgets. That's why we don't require rigid weekly packages. Instead, we'll work with you to create a personalized postpartum plan that fits your family's needs.

Whether you're looking for one overnight shift each week or comprehensive support during those first six weeks, we'll help you build a schedule that gives you confidence, rest, and peace of mind.

Finding the Right Amount of Support

Every family's postpartum journey is different, which means there's no one-size-fits-all schedule.

Many families choose to receive support throughout the first six weeks after birth, often referred to as the fourth trimester, when healing, feeding, and adjusting to life with a newborn require the most hands-on care.

Others continue care for 8–12 weeks, especially as partners return to work, family members leave, sleep deprivation accumulates, or parents want ongoing guidance while building confidence.

Some families simply need a little extra help for a few nights, while others choose to continue postpartum support for several months. Whether you're recovering from a difficult birth, navigating twins, balancing older children, returning to work, or simply wanting your village a little longer, we're here for you.

You tell us what support looks like for your family we'll create a personalized care plan that grows with your needs.

Postpartum Support That Grows With Your Family

The first few weeks after birth are often the most physically and emotionally demanding.

You're healing from birth while learning your baby's cues in real time.

Your milk may be coming in.

You're navigating sleep deprivation.

Your hormones are changing.

You may have older children who still need you.

Your partner may be returning to work.

No matter what your postpartum journey looks like, our doulas are here to provide compassionate, evidence-based support every step of the way.

"You're doing an incredible job."

We celebrate your victories, answer your questions, normalize the hard moments, and provide reassurance as you settle into life with your baby.

A Typical Overnight with Your Doula

Every night looks different because every baby is different.

A typical overnight shift may include:

10:00 PM
Your doula arrives, checks in with your family, reviews baby's day, and creates a plan for the night.

10:00 PM–12:00 AM
While baby is settled, we prepare your home for the next day by washing bottles, sterilizing pump parts, folding baby laundry, preparing breakfast, refilling water bottles, and organizing baby supplies.

Throughout the Night
As baby wakes, your doula provides responsive care based on your feeding preferences. This may include diaper changes, soothing, bottle preparation, bringing baby to you for breastfeeding, burping, swaddling, and helping baby settle back to sleep.

6:00 AM
Before leaving, your doula prepares your family for the day ahead. You may wake to clean bottles, folded laundry, stocked diaper stations, overnight notes, and a calm, organized home.

Every Home Is Welcome

One concern we hear often is,

"Our house is small I hope that's okay."

Please don't worry.

We've supported families in studio apartments, student housing, townhomes, condominiums, and large family homes throughout Northern California.

There is no perfect home for postpartum support.

What matters most is creating a safe, welcoming environment where your family can rest and recover.

The only thing we ask is a comfortable place where your doula can briefly rest when baby is sleeping so they're refreshed and ready to provide attentive overnight care as baby wakes.

Build the Schedule That Works for You

There is no weekly minimum beyond our standard shift lengths:

  • Overnight support: 8-hour minimum (10:00 PM–6:00 AM)

  • Daytime support: 4-hour minimum

Whether you'd like one overnight each week, seven nights a week, 12-hour daytime shifts, or a combination of day and night support, we'll create a schedule that works for your family's recovery, budget, and goals.

Commonly Requested Care Plans

Every family receives a customized recommendation, but here are a few examples of what many families choose.

Intensive Fourth Trimester Support

Families wanting comprehensive support often begin with nightly care during the first few weeks before gradually decreasing visits as confidence grows.

Balanced Recovery Plan

Many families choose three overnight shifts each week for six weeks, creating consistent opportunities for restorative sleep while gradually adjusting to life with their newborn.

Weekly Reset

Even one overnight shift each week can make a meaningful difference. Having one guaranteed night of support gives many parents something to look forward to and helps them feel more rested throughout the week.

Support doesn't have to be all or nothing. Every hour of help matters.

Why Our Collaborative Team Matters

Families receiving more frequent postpartum support are often matched with two postpartum doulas.

Because some our doulas also attend births, having a collaborative team helps ensure your family receives consistent care even if one doula is unexpectedly called to a birth.

Your doulas communicate with one another, document each visit, and work together to provide a seamless experience, so your family continues receiving compassionate, uninterrupted support throughout your postpartum journey.
