Hello, I’m Arielle.
Hi my name is Arielle, and I have been practicing as a lactation counselor since 2018, and a Registered Dietitian since 2017. I joined the Rebecca Rose Doula Services team in 2021 and have served over 300 families since then.
Certifications & Additional Training
I am continuously keeping up with the latest research and guidelines pertaining to breastfeeding, and have continuing education requirements to keep up my licensure as a Registered Dietitian. I have extensive experience in Gestational Diabetes, nutrition in pregnancy and postpartum, and eating disorders. I believe in continuing education and regularly pursue opportunities to deepen my knowledge so I can provide the most supportive, evidence-based care for families.
What Brought Me to Birth Work
My journey into birth, specifically lactation, work began when I had my first daughter. I naively thought that if I had all the education I had, then there was no way I was going to fail. Boy was I wrong! All the education in the world couldn’t prepare me for the steep learning curve of feeding your own baby, and I struggled to find support. That’s when I knew that I wanted to meet mothers in the struggle to help them feel less alone. Supporting women and families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period was where my heart belonged.
Why I Do This Work
I do this work because I believe support in the early postpartum days is severely lacking, especially when it comes to feeding struggles. Being invited into such an intimate season in a family’s life is something I never take for granted.
What I Bring to Your Postpartum Journey
Families often describe my support style as calming and encouraging. When I enter your space, I aim to provide hands-on support and education, but also want to leave you feeling like you can replicate what we work on, ultimately leaving you more confident than when I arrived.
Some of the ways I support families include:
• Prenatal lactation visits
• Postpartum lactation visits
• Nutrition counseling
• Pumping guidance
My goal is always to help you feel safe, confident, and deeply supported throughout your journey.
A Little About Me
Outside of birth work, I spend time with my husband of 10 years and my three kids. I live in Citrus Heights and love an iced vanilla latte, time outdoors, and to read.
One Thing I Want Families to Know
If there’s one thing I want families to know about me, it’s that I believe in you and believe that you are the perfect mama for your baby. Any way that you choose to feed them is beautiful and I am here to support you at every twist and turn your feeding journey takes.
