Hi, I’m Ishale,

Hi, my name is Ishalé, and I have been supporting families as a postpartum doula since 2023. I joined the Rebecca Rose Doula Services team in 2025 and have had the privilege of caring for more than 20 families during one of the most meaningful transitions of their lives.

Certifications & Continuing Education

I believe learning never stops and am committed to continuing my education so I can provide compassionate, evidence-based care to every family I serve.

My training includes:

  • Certified Birth Doula

  • Certified Postpartum Doula

  • Lactation Education & Breastfeeding Support

  • Infant CPR & First Aid (renewed annually)

I regularly pursue additional education to expand my knowledge and ensure the families I support receive the highest quality care.

What Brought Me to Postpartum Work

My journey into birth work began with my own transition into motherhood. Becoming a mother opened my eyes to just how powerful, vulnerable, and life-changing the postpartum period can be. I experienced firsthand the importance of feeling supported, encouraged, and cared for while adjusting to life with a new baby.

That experience inspired me to become the kind of support I know every family deserves.

Today, I feel honored to walk alongside parents as they navigate those early weeks of parenthood. Whether it's offering reassurance during a difficult night, helping parents gain confidence in caring for their newborn, or simply creating a peaceful environment where families can rest and recover, I believe every family deserves to feel seen, supported, and nurtured.

My Support Style

Families often describe my presence as calm, warm, and grounding. I believe postpartum care is about supporting the entire family not just the baby.

My goal is to help parents feel rested, confident, and empowered as they settle into their new rhythm. I meet every family where they are, offering compassionate, nonjudgmental care that honors their unique parenting choices and values.

How I Support Families

Every family's needs are different, and I tailor my care accordingly. My support may include:

  • Compassionate newborn care

  • Emotional support for parents

  • Infant feeding guidance and breastfeeding support

  • Helping parents understand their baby's cues

  • Overnight or daytime postpartum support

  • Light household tasks related to baby care

  • Nourishing home-cooked meals, including vegan and plant-forward options

  • Gentle herbal wellness support when appropriate

  • Creating a calm, peaceful environment where families can rest and recover

Above all, my goal is to help families feel cared for, confident, and never alone during the postpartum journey.

A Little About Me

Outside of supporting families, I have a deep passion for health and wellness. I love Pilates, preparing nourishing plant-based meals, exploring holistic wellness, and spending quality time with my own family.

Motherhood has shaped who I am, both personally and professionally, and I feel incredibly grateful to support other families during such a special season of life.

One Thing I Want Families to Know

I truly care about the well-being of your entire family.

My hope is that when I leave your home, you feel lighter, more confident, more rested, and deeply supported. Whether I'm caring for your newborn, preparing a nourishing meal, offering encouragement, or simply listening, my goal is always to help you feel safe, cared for, and empowered as you embrace this new chapter.
